All Cascade Conference Teams 12-13

The Everett Herald has posted this years all CC teams, the article can be read by clicking here. This year our boys had three players receive votes. Congrats to Junior Riley Larson for making 1st team CC, Senior Drew Benson for making honorable mention and Junior Evan West for making honorable mention.

Cat Fight 2013

Junior Guard Evan West noted as player "Most likely to get caught stealing". 

Most likely to get caught stealing: Evan West, Granite Falls
In last year's huge upset of eventual-conference champion King's, West was the one who had the unenviable task of guarding Knights guard James McCutchen, who had scored 24 points in the two teams' previous matchup. West stepped up to the challenge, though, and limited McCutchen to just 11 points in the Tigers' huge upset victory over the Knights. Wilson said that the key to West's defense is hard work and dedication. "He takes it upon himself to shut down that other guy," Wilson said. "He's also a very smart defender."

2012-2013 Try Outs

Try outs will begin November 12th at Granite Falls H.S. Be suited and ready to go by 5 PM. Make sure you have your physical and all your paper work turned in before Monday the 12th!

Fall Basketball Season

We start fall basketball next week with the first practice at GFHS 7-9 starting 9/3 (labor day). Practices will continue and run throughout the fall every MONDAY and WEDNESDAY leading up to 2012-2013 season. Varsity will be playing in the Everett Community College fall league and JV's up at Skagit Valley Community College. Go Tigers!

Spring Hoops Schedule (Open Gyms)

Spring open gyms begin Tuesday March 13th, all are welcome. Open gyms will be most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9p, check the calendar for specific dates and times. Also, Monday through Thursday there will be weight training after school.
